Australia’s dizziness stopped that time when the day declared stumps at tea due to rain. It was third day for second battle of Ashes, where Australia badly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Australia firstly faced stormy acceleration of Alastair Cook and then Kevin Pietersen fixed the way of Aussie’s devastation with similar fashion.
Cook resumed third morning with yesterday’s unbeaten 136, whereas Pietersen started with 85 runs. They already gave outstanding stand of 175 runs yesterday, but good luck to Australia after an ages, Cook missed a terrific delivery of Ryan Harris and caught behind the wickets after adding 12 runs in this morning. It was the pleasant moments for Australia but it was just for a while.
After departure of Cook, his partner Pietersen becomes more aggressive, he found his feet and mesmerized Aussie’s hopes of fight back. Pietersen treated Aussie’s bowlers as head honcho for complete disaster. Pietersen scored unbeaten 213, second highest of his career, and he is looking in best position to overhaul.
England currently hold the Ashes, can Australia win them back? As it turns out, no.
