2nd Match goes to India
Backup wicket keeper for Australia Tim Paine has received an injury to a finger trying to take a high bouncer deliver by Peter Siddle. The rest of the story of this match belongs to India and in particular MS Dhoni who knocked 124 off 107 deliveries. This was India's highest ever one-day total against Australia - 354 for 7 wickets. Australia could muster only 255 off 48.3 overs - all out in reply. Ponting won the toss and elected to bowl, which perhaps in hindsight Ponting would regret.

The series stands at 1 all.

Australia win series
Australia have had their fourth victory to win the series against India with one game to spare.

This series is special for Australia, because they have nine players out injured and have often been poorly in most aspects of the game but have drawn on that other uniquely Australian talent - the ability to hang in there.
