Hey everyone

Post by Hammond » Wed Oct 24, 2012 1:02 am

I am an Australian follower of the English cricket team and am more than a bit of a cricket tragic, have played competitively for the last 20 years non-stop. Love my cricket but ashamed of the way my countrymen arrogantly lorded over world cricket when they were on top, and equally disappointed at how we dealt with defeat and disappointment since we started sliding. A bit torn over supporting the young bowlers who are coming out of shield cricket, and my disgust at players like Ponting who have been an embarrassment to my country. Have followed England loyally since 2004 when they drew against South Africa at home in one of the greatest test series of all time in my opinion. Hate T20 cricket with a passion but am slightly partial to the odi game. Love two innings cricket of any form. That is me. Not very old, but old enough to remember when the windies fondly when they were in their pomp. Hope to have a good chat with fellow cricket lovers.
